Week 2 12/7-12/11
This week our focus is on basketball skills.
You will need: a ball that bounces and a basketball net or a laundry basket to shoot into.
Go to SEESAW to work on the basketball rubrics.
You will need to complete 3 rubrics: Dribbling basic or Dribble Advanced rubric (one rubric for dribbling must be completed), Passing rubric, and Shooting basic or Shoot advanced rubric (one rubric for shooting must be completed).
All the rubrics must be completed by 12/10, Thursday.

For this assignment you need to record a video and send it to me on seesaw. See the attached rubric. Be sure to include all items on the rubric listed. Be creative and have fun with it. This assignment is due the day before we see each other next week.

This week we are working on shooting a soccer ball. We are using the inside of our foot to shoot at our goal and the shoe laces to lift the ball into our goal also. You will need a ball (balled up socks works too), 3 place markers (shoes, books, markers...) and a large box or laundry basket.

Watch the Violations in basketball video. There are 5 violations that they talk about and one major one that we have talked about in class that they don't include. ** Bonus if you know the violation that I am talking about and you are welcome to use it also** Please show me a video or pictures of 3 of the violations.
Show me: 3 violations and how you should perform them so that you don't get a violation. Feel free to use pic collage to show multiple pictures if that is easier for you.

Each drill can be done by yourself with a ball that will bounce off of a wall. (A tennis ball works great). You need:

Overhand throwing is a skill used in baseball and softball. Using proper form can help prevent injury and increase accuracy and power.

Try following these cues and use your hand to strike an object like: a kickball, rubber ball, balloon, soft fuzzy ball or something else soft like a stuffed animal.

If you are comfortable striking the object with your hand you can try an implement. CHECK WITH YOUR PARENTS IF IT IS OKAY TO USE AN IMPLEMENT AT HOME AND WHERE WOULD BE A GOOD SPOT.

Volleyball skills is the focus this week. We will practice passing (bump or forearm pass) and setting (over hand pass). There is a video and picture to go along with each skill and an activity at the end of each video.
