Striking is a term used to in Physical Education. Striking is when you use an implement (hand, foot, bat, hockey stick ...) to contact an object (baseball, tennis ball...) with a controlled hit. Here are some examples of thing you can strike an object with.
Try following these cues and use your hand to strike an object like: a kickball, rubber ball, balloon, soft fuzzy ball or something else soft like a stuffed animal.
|
If you are comfortable striking the object with your hand you can try an implement. CHECK WITH YOUR PARENTS IF IT IS OKAY TO USE AN IMPLEMENT AT HOME AND WHERE WOULD BE A GOOD SPOT.

Week of April 27-May 1
This week our lesson is on bowling. Below are the steps to bowling.
Now to try the bowling activity with your own supplies at home. You will need 10 "pins" (water bottles, plastic cups or paper towel/toilet paper rolls), a ball (soccer ball, tennis ball, rubber ball or balled up socks work too) and you will need a little space (Check with your parents). Check out some of the examples.
Bowl a game with your family or by yourself. You can use either button below to record your score (the blue button takes you right to an online score sheet and adds your score up for you! Easy!). In bowling you have 10 pins and you set them up in a triangle, just like the picture above. You get 2 turns to knock down all the "pins." For each turn record the number of "pins" you knocked down then after the second turn stand them all back up.
Share a 30-60 second video of you doing the activity on Flipgrid. Code is on its learning.
